We will be making major changes in the upcoming update, v4.1.0.

Changes to the Android version store page

Due to a security vulnerability, we are unavoidably changing the distribution store page for the Android version only.

The old distribution store page will be discontinued (only accessible to users who have downloaded the game), and a new distribution store page will be released.

This means that Buriedbornes will be re-released as a separate app, although we will not go into details here.

Specifically, save data will be lost after updating to v4.1.0 on devices that do not use Google Play Games’ platform saves.

How to Avoid Losing Save Data

1. Link to Google Play Games

Save data uploaded to Google Play Games’ Saved Game (platform save) will be automatically restored when you launch the new version of the game.

For this reason, we recommend linking to Google Play Games in advance.

Open the Save Data Management screen and check that the current data is displayed in the upper left section to confirm that your data is ready to be automatically restored.

2. Issue a Backup Code

Although manual restoration will be required, you can carry over your save data by following the steps below.

• ~Issue a backup code in v4.0.6
• Upload your save data to the game server from the Save Data Management screen immediately before updating.
• After updating to v4.1.0, use the backup code in the Save Data Management screen to restore your save data.

Use this method if you do not want to link to Google Play Games.

Regarding future restoration

After the release of v4.1.0, we will refer to your Google Play Games link information when restoring your save data.

Depending on your playing environment and account status, the link information may not be the same as that of the old app, making data restoration impossible.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that you follow either step 1 or 2 above when v4.1.0 is released, whenever possible.

Other Impacts

Purchase information is immediately updated on the game server upon purchase, so it will be carried over to the new app as long as the same user ID is used.

However, please note that purchases for the old and new app versions will be displayed as separate apps in your purchase history.

Additionally, achievements and leaderboard information will be carried over to the new app, as they are registered as the same Play Games game.

There is no direct impact on iOS and Steam users, or on new users starting with v4.1.0+.

Data transfer between platforms will also continue to be available from v4.1.0+.

Reviewing Backup Frequency

Until now, Nussygame has been frequently backing up each game and using those backups to restore data.

However, due to the long-term nature of our operations, and the resulting costs of securing storage space to retain this data, it has become difficult to maintain this method of retention.

For this reason, starting with Buriedbornes v4.1.0, we will be adjusting the frequency and retention period of backup data.

We also plan to gradually implement similar adjustments for our other titles (Buriedbornes 2, B100X, Ending Days).

As a result, there may be cases where we are unable to restore old data.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we appreciate your understanding.

We will proceed with the transition in a way that minimizes issues, but we expect some confusion before and after the transition.
